What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is known to be one of the most effective forms of self-defense. The combative system was created by Imi Lichtenfeld for the Israeli army in the 1940’s and consists of short, explosive bursts or “flurries” of devastating striking techniques. The techniques pull from a variety of styles including Boxing, Karate, and Muay Thai as well as Aikido for weapon disarming. Krav Maga is known to be the “Cream of the Crop” due it it’s nature of using the best techniques from multiple styles and for it’s high practicality after a single class.
What is Shorin-Ryu Karate?
Shorin-Ryu is a traditional art of Okinawan karate dating back from the 1800’s and developed by Sokon (Bushi) Matsumura.
